Passive safety system for pushchairs (7) in public transport vehicles, which comprises a first panel (3), arranged perpendicularly with respect to a wall (6) of the public transport vehicle, when said panel (3) is in service, and at least one element for fastening the first panel (3) to the wall (6) of the public transport vehicle. The passive safety system further comprises a second panel (1) which is connected to the first panel (3), and at least one first articulation (2), as connection element between the first panel (3) and the second panel (1). The at least first articulation (2) allows relative rotation of the second panel (1) with respect to the first panel (3), preventing undesired lateral movement of a pushchair (7) located between the wall (6) of the vehicle and the second panel (1).
