PURPOSE: A production method of black polymerization toner is provided to produce the black polymerization toner which disperses well in a binder organic resin and has high black chroma for improving printing characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A production method of black polymerization toner comprises the following steps: applying a hydroxy group on the surface of carbon black by processing an oxidizer under the presence of a phase changing catalyst; applying an organic chain on the surface of the carbon black by reacting the carbon black with organic acid; and producing the black polymerization toner using a polymerization method using the carbon black including the organic chain. The phase changing catalyst is benzyltrimethylammonium chloride, hexadecyltributylphosphonium bromide, tetra-n-butylammonium bromide, or methyltrioctylammonium chloride.
