The casing has a connection part arranged to connect the casing to a central casing of a turbocompressor. A gas evacuation pipe is fixed with the connection part. A volute is fixed with the connection part and fixed into the gas evacuation pipe. A modifying unit modifies gas flow in the volute. The modifying unit is integrated with the connection part, the gas evacuation pipe and the volute. The volute comprises a gas supply pipe and an annular gas flow passage laterally opened into a junction zone of the pipe. The volute is formed from a steel plate, and the modifying unit is formed from cast steel. An independent claim is also included for a turbocompressor comprising a compressor connected to a turbine.
