Human 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase peptide derivative (I) is new. Human 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase peptide derivative of formula (R1-(AA) n-X1-Gly-Glu-Leu-Ser-X2-X3-(AA) p-R2) (I) is new. X1 : alanine, valine or isoleucine; X2 : leucine, isoleucine or no amino acid; AA : any amino acid or its derivative; n, p : 0-4; R1 : primary amine function of N-terminal amino acid, or -NH 2, where one of the hydrogen atoms is optionally substituted by acetyl type saturated or unsaturated 1-30C-alkyl chain, or aromatic group such benzoyl, tosyl or benzyloxycarbonyl; R2 : hydroxyl group of carboxylic function of C-terminal amino acid, or -OH, where the hydrogen atom is optionally substituted by 1-30C-alkyl chain, NH 2, NHY1 or NY1Y1; and Y1 : 1-4C-alkyl chain.
