An apparatus for driving light source is provided to reduce lighting defectiveness rate by improving the activity of the gas filled within the light source. An inverter control part(114) generates lightening signal several times when a light source is not regularly operated. The inverter control part produces a shut down signal after the set up time is passed. An inverter circuit part(116) shut down in response to the shut down signal while supplying the light source with several times. A plurality of light sources(118) are located at the rear side or the front side of the liquid crystal panel. |
