The present invention relates to a device and a method for correcting a position error of a machine tool caused by static displacement and, more specifically, a device and a method for correcting a position error of a machine tool, capable of improving productivity and reducing processing errors by detecting and correcting static displacement caused by the structural weight of the machine tool and the position error of the machine tool thereby considering the length of a tool at real time and guaranteeing structural rigidity of a machine tool structure.
