The seat has a height-adjustable seat base (4) provided with a base part (11), a rocker (21) and a sitting frame. A crash blocking unit (100) locks the base part, the rocker and the frame. Limiting force is defined on the seat. A spring (50) partially compensates weight of the seat introduced by occupants. Marginal power of the spring is not reached when the crash blocking unit is in an unlocked hold state. The spring is provided with two spring ends (51, 52), where one of the spring ends is supported on a cross pipe (34). The blocking unit is provided with a locking unit (110).
