The motor vehicle tail lamp (10) has a three-dimensionally contoured cover plate (11) for light emission, where the cover plate has multiple staggered light emission segments (34,35,36). The tail light function, blinking light and brake light function of light guides and of light emitting diode light sources are formed in interacting manner. The light guides are provided with legs, on which output couplers are formed. The light emission segments are protruded in the output couplers.
