A door opening warning device and a method are provided. The door opening warning device comprises a panorama image generation part for generating a panorama image on the surrounding of a vehicle; an obstacle detection part for detecting obstacles approaching from the rear side of the vehicle using the panorama image; a warning display part arranged close to the door handle of the vehicle; and a door control part for turning on and off the warning display part based on the obstacle detection result. |
