<p>The present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode display device and a method for driving the same, capable of minimizing a memory capacity and the usage while improving the display quality by performing an overdriving (or boost driving) manner according to image information of accumulated multiple frames. The organic light emitting diode display device comprises: an image display panel having multiple pixel areas; a data driving unit to drive data lines of the image display panel; a timing control unit to align image data inputted from the outside to be suitable for the size of the image display panel and generate a data control signal to control the data driving unit; and a data modulation unit to sequentially receive the image data from the timing control unit, count the accumulation number of times of the pixels of the image data which is inputted to be smaller than the predetermined reference data, generate modulation image data by differently apply a weighting according to the counted result, and then supply the modulation image data to the data driving unit.</p> |
