Baby sleep garment

The present invention provides a one piece baby sleep garment to aid and support infant sleep. The baby sleep garment comprises a back portion with an open bottom edge, and a closed, preferably triangular arm pocket on either side of the garment. Each arm pocket is of sufficient length and width to allow unrestricted movement of the baby's arms while still keeping both arms completely covered at all times during use. The back portion is sufficiently wide enough to cover the baby's back when in use. Preferably, the sleep garment has a bottom lower portion with an optional thick weighted hem which provides a slight resistance as the baby moves its arms during sleep thereby creating a feeling of calm and reassurance for the baby. The garment is preferably open and the front of the body is uncovered during use.
