1. A method of determining a characteristic of a signal to be transmitted from a wireless transmitter in a telecommunications network, the wireless transmitter comprising a measurement receiver, the method comprising:
determining, using signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of at least one signal being supplied to the transmitter for use in forming the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter, a first characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter over a first time period; determining, using signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of the at least one signal being supplied to the transmitter, a second characteristic of the signal to be transmitted therefrom over a second, different, time period; and determining, using signal characteristic determination hardware and on the basis of at least the first characteristic, the second characteristic and a measured characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter that is measured at the measurement receiver over the first time period, a characteristic of the signal to be transmitted from the transmitter for the second time period.
