The purpose of the present invention is to provide a discovery method, an optical communication method, and an optical communication system in which it is possible to reduce RTT errors and to prevent a decrease in band utilization efficiency when an identifier is fixed even after a change in an allocation wavelength in a wavelength-variable WDM/TDM-PON. In the present invention, a table in which frame RTTs to and from identifiers are recorded for all allocated wavelength combinations is produced through a discovery process in addition to the correspondence between each child node and the fixed identifier. |
