The present invention relates to a novel multicomponent preformed catalytic system based at least on: isoprene, or a rare earth metal salt of an organic phosphoric acid or of a carboxylic acid; a saturated or unsaturated inert hydrocarbon-based solvent, the boiling point of which is below 40°C at atmospheric pressure; an alkylating agent consisting of a specific trialkylaluminium; and a halogen donor consisting of an alkylaluminium halide; wherein this catalytic system comprises the rare earth metal at a concentration greater than or equal to 0.005 mol/l. The use of such a catalytic system makes it possible in particular to polymerize isoprene, with good catalytic activity, in solution in a volatile hydrocarbon-based solvent, while at the same time benefitting from the economic advantage associated with a process in a volatile solvent, which is also the subject matter of the invention. The diene elastomers obtained have a high content of 1,3‑cis linkages. |
