The rail box (1000) has a rail box main portion which is formed by a closed fire protection lining. The closed fire protection lining surrounds the bus bars (500). The rail box main portion is provided with a ventilation aperture and shutoff device. The shutoff device is arranged in the ventilation aperture and is utilized to close the rail box automatically, when the temperature of the ventilation aperture is exceeded. A lattice covers the shutoff device in the ventilation aperture. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) fire protection system; and (2) busbar system.
