PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader device which, by properly restricting the displacement of a document cover part, can suppress an excessive displacement while repressing the breakage of a spot subject to the application of a load.SOLUTION: In a multifunction machine 1, a hinge part 51 is interposed between a body part 3 and a document cover part 4, the document cover part 4 being supported displaceably relative to the body part 3. When the document cover part 4 is displaced from a first position (selection drawing (a)) to a second position (selection drawing (b)), a first restricting part 61 abuts on the document cover part 4, thereby restricting the displacement of the document cover part 4. When the document cover part 4 is further displaced from the second position to a third position (selection drawing (c)) overriding the restriction by the first restricting part 61, a second restricting part 62 abuts on the document cover part 4, thereby restricting the document cover part 4 from being displaced to a position (selection drawing (d)) beyond the third position. |
