PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a gas spring due to the free fall of a table part by smoothing the elevation of the table part.SOLUTION: A bedside table comprises: a cylindrical fixed supporter 6 erected from a support body; a cylindrical movable supporter 7 to be freely movable in a vertical direction inside the fixed supporter 6; a table part 10 fixed to the upper end of the movable supporter 7; and a gas spring 13 arranged inside the movable supporter 7 and having a cylinder part 14 whose lower end is fixed and a rod 20 for energizing the table part 10 from below. A lock release lever 24 arranged in the table part 10 is arranged to be separable with respect to an operation piece 23 of the gas spring 13. A slider part 21 is fixed to the rod 20 and brought into slide contact with the inner surface of the movable supporter 7. The upper end of the slider part 21 is abutted to an engagement part 22 projecting from the inner surface 7a of the movable supporter 7. When external force to push up the table part 10 works, the lock release lever 24 is separated from the operation piece 23. Then, the movable supporter 7 is elevated together with the table part 10. |
