A pyrophoric sheet comprising oxidizable iron, non-combustible fibers, and a stiction-reducing additive, wherein the sheet has a water content of about 2% or less, by weight based on the total weight of the sheet, and wherein the oxidizable iron and the non-combustible fibers are dispersed within the sheet in an amount that is effective to heat the sheet to a temperature greater than 100° C. in less than 2 seconds upon exposure of the sheet to air.
