Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for estimating a parameter of a secondary battery. The apparatus according to the present invention includes a sensor unit which measures multiple current-voltage data while a charging current decreases during a process where the secondary battery is charged with a pattern where the charging current increases to a peak value and then decreases again; and a control unit which receives the current-voltage data from the sensor unit, calculates an approximate linear equation expressing a correlation between a current and a voltage from the current-voltage data, estimates an open voltage of the secondary battery by reflecting a polarization voltage of the secondary battery quantified through an RC circuit at a Y-intercept of the approximate linear equation, and estimates a charging state of the secondary battery from the estimated open voltage. |
