PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument capable of controlling flow pressure of ink applied to a pen point at a constant pressure so as to prevent ink direct flow and reverse flow phenomena, and reducing pressure in an ink tank when a cap is opened even when the pressure in the ink tank for storing ink during storage of the writing instrument increases, and preventing leakage of ink from the pen point during use, and the instrument is suitable for ball point pens or marking pens.SOLUTION: A writing instrument A has a suppressing mechanism for suppressing direct flow of ink 25 filled in an ink tank 11 made of a refill on a rear part of a writing instrument body 10. To a front part of the writing instrument body, a pen point 20 and a cap body 30 for sealing the pen point 20 are attached. On the rear part of the writing instrument body 10, a pressure reduction mechanism 50 for reducing pressure in the ink tank following opening of the cap body 30 is provided. |
