1. A method for screening an obesity prevention or treatment agent, comprising:
(a) measuring expression level of GABAB receptor and neuropeptide Y in a subject; (b) administering a candidate substance to the subject, followed by measuring expression level of GABAB receptor and neuropeptide Y in the subject; and (c) determining the candidate substance as an obesity prevention or treatment agent when the expression level of GABAB receptor in step (b) is found to have increased compared to step (a) and the expression level of neuropeptide Y in step (b) is found to have decreased compared to step (a).
