The mounting apparatus includes a mounting bracket having an ear and a first indicator associated with the ear. The mounting apparatus also includes a second indicator adapted to be coupled to the lighting device for conjoint rotational movement about a rotational axis with respect to the mounting bracket. The second indicator and the lighting device may be selectively rotated about the rotational axis such that the second indicator is located in a desired position with respect to the first indicator whereby the lighting device is located in a desired measured orientation with respect to the mounting bracket.
