<p>Provided is a technology whereby artifacts, which arise when carrying out noise reduction, sharpening, or other image enhancement processes on an image, are reduced. An image processing device comprises: a setting unit which, using signal values of each pixel in an inputted image signal, sets a likelihood with respect to a predetermined object; a parameter output unit which outputs a parameter for image processing, wherein a first parameter which is employed in image processing with respect to the object and a second parameter which is employed in image processing with respect to another object, are mixed at a mixing ratio based on the likelihood; and an image processing unit which, using the parameter for image processing which is outputted from the parameter output unit, carries out an image process on the signal values of each pixel.</p> |
