PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid acoustic transducer including a permanent magnet that generates magnetic flux in a magnetic path by generating a time-varying stationary coil signal corresponding to both the magnetic flux induced by the permanent magnet and the input audio signal.SOLUTION: Time-varying signals are applied to a moving coil 120 and a stationary coil 118 to control movement of a diaphragm 114, which produces sound. The time-varying signal applied to the moving coil 120 corresponds to at least a processed input audio signal Vi and is updated based at least on a version of the time-varying signal applied to the stationary coil 118. Some embodiments include updating the processed input audio signal Vi in response to a magnetic flux value corresponding to the time-varying signal applied to the stationary coil 118. Some embodiments include updating the time-varying signal applied to the moving coil 120 in response to a feedback signal. |
