PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is no function for improving a sanitary state of a document in an image reader.SOLUTION: An image reader includes: a transportation roller for transporting a document; image reading means for reading an image of the document transported by the transportation roller; an ultraviolet ray lamp for irradiating the document for disinfecting the document transported by the transportation roller with an ultraviolet ray; and a shielding member which is arranged between the ultraviolet ray lamp and the transportation roller and shields the ultraviolet ray from the ultraviolet ray lamp. |
