A medical device produced from an ester resin, such as a hollow-fiber-type blood treatment device, is put into a packaging material produced from a gas-impermeable material, and this packaging material is sealed, with at least a reducing gas such as hydrogen gas being confined therein, thereby obtaining a medical-device package. This medical-device package is irradiated with radiation to sterilize the inside thereof. In the medical-device package, an oxygen scavenger may further be confined. The reducing gas may be confined as a mixed gas obtained by mixing with an inert gas. Due to this, it becomes possible to effectively inhibit the ester resin from generating a by-product such as acetic acid. |
