The rotor (1) has a laminations pack (10) and end plates (11). The end plates are arranged at an end of the laminations pack. The end plates are designed for rotatably mounting a rotor main portion about a rotor axis (12). A centering unit (25) is centered on the rotor axis, through which the laminations pack is accommodated between the end plates. Tie rods (17) i.e. cage rod, are extended along an axial direction by the lamination pack. The tie rods are made of a bar material and bonded with short circuit rings (15). The centering unit is designed as a centering collar (13) and a recording collar.
