PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device which enables improvement of the efficiency of mold replacing work while suppressing change of the attitude of a movable platen with respect to a fixed platen on mold opening.SOLUTION: A mold clamping device 40 comprises a fixed platen 43, a movable platen 44, a toggle mechanism 60 with one end connected to the movable platen 44 and the other end fixed to a link housing 51, a first drive device 50 moving the movable platen 44 through the toggle mechanism 60, a second drive device 70 with one end fixed to the movable platen 44 and the other end fixed to the linke housing 51 and moving the movable platen 44 and a controller 80 driving the second drive device 70 so as to move the movable platen 44 in the mold opening direction when the movable platen 44 is moved from the mold clamping position in the mold opening direction. |
