PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which extends an irradiation range compared to a conventional technology while securing cooling capacity of an LED in a lighting device using the LED as a light source.SOLUTION: A lighting device comprises: an LED light emitting module having an LED; and a housing which has a heat sink for radiating heat emitted from the LED in at least a part thereof and houses the LED light emitting module. The heat sink includes a bottom part in which the LED light emitting module is installed and multiple plate like heat radiation fins which are arranged at an outer peripheral edge of the bottom part and extend toward the front side and the lateral side of the bottom part. Each space between the heat radiation fins forms a lateral opening which radiates light emitted from the LED from a side surface of the housing to the exterior.
