PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that makes it hard for an observer to recognize flickers, and enables combination use of stereoscopic image display and pseudo high-definition display.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises a light source device, an optical modulation device, a projection device, a pixel shift device, and a control device. The control device controls the optical modulation device and the pixel shift device so that a switching frequency between a first image data writing period and a second image data writing period is higher than a switching frequency between a first pixel position period and a second pixel position period. |
