PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device which can generate a log image after a power supply is restored even if power interruption occurs after an image is outputted and before termination of generation of the log image.SOLUTION: MFP includes: a printer for outputting an image; a storage section for holding information even in a case of power interruption; original image generation means for generating an original image being an original image of an output image outputted by the printer on the storage section; and log image generation means for generating a log image as a log of the output image in response to the original image. When MFP is started, the log image generation means generates the log image in response to the original image stored in the storage section (S162) when the original image is stored in the storage section (YES in S161).
