PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which has a high zoom ratio, achieves high optical performance over the entire zoom range, and, when applied to an imaging apparatus, allows reduction in thickness of the imaging apparatus, and to provide an imaging apparatus having the same.SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens group having a positive refractive power, a second lens group having a negative refractive power, a reflection member for bending the optical path, and a rear group including a plurality of lens groups, and during zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, at least the first lens group and the second lens group are moved. The amount X1 of movement of the first lens group with respect to the image plane during zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, the amount X2 of movement of the second lens group with respect to the image plane during zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, the focal distance f1 of the first lens group, the focal distance fw of the entire system at the wide angle and, and the focal distance ft of the entire system at the telephoto end are appropriately set, respectively. |
