PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image fixing device that provides excellent low-temperature fixability, can prevent scattering of unfixed toner, and has excellent separability of a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image fixing device includes: ultrasonic vibration providing means for providing ultrasonic vibration to toner images formed with toner on a recording medium; and endless belt-like covering means laid over a plurality of rollers, and covering all unfixed toner images on the recording medium when the ultrasonic vibration providing means provided the ultrasonic vibration to the toner image on the recording medium. The surface tack force measured by a probe tack test method on the surface of the covering means in contact with the toner images is 3.9 N/cmto 9.8 N/cm.
