The grain-wood composite material has multiple embedded-grain wood elements (1), which are mutually spaced in an elastic mass. A carrier material is provided, which consists of a textile material or fabric. The elastic mass is a translucent plastic material, preferably silicone or a silicone compound. The grain wood elements are selected among the wood species including oak, spruce, pine, larch, ash, birch, beech, walnut, alder, bamboo or maple. The spaced apart grain wood elements are interconnected via a web. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a grain-wood composite material.
