PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-wetting apparatus with high reliability, and a manufacturing method of the electro-wetting apparatus.SOLUTION: The electro-wetting apparatus includes: a liquid confining member 2 including a substrate 21 and an electrode unit 23 supported on the substrate 21, and defining an inner chamber 214; a first liquid 31 arranged in the inner chamber 214, and being a magnetic ink; and a second liquid 32 arranged in the inner chamber 214, and being a polar material that is not mixed with the first liquid 31. The first and second liquid 31, 32 are brought into contact with each other so as to define a liquid-liquid contact surface 33 between them. |
