The illuminated vehicle interior component (16) also includes an elastomeric material (24) disposed in the at least one aperture (22) of the support (18). The elastomeric material (24) is configured to receive light from a light source (38) and to direct the light through the elastomeric material (24) from the rear surface (28) to the show surface (20).
