A base station apparatus of the invention adjusts the phase and amplitude of a signal to be addressed to and transmitted to a terminal apparatus, whereby the antenna gains in the horizontal and vertical directions of a plurality of antennas of the base station apparatus can be adjusted. The base station apparatus stores a codebook that describes a plurality of linear filters associated with the antenna gains in the horizontal and vertical directions and shared between the base station apparatus and the terminal apparatus. The base station apparatus acquires control information transmitted from the terminal apparatus and indicating at least one of the plurality of linear filters described by the codebook, and precodes, on the basis of the control information and the codebook, the signal to be addressed to the terminal apparatus, thereby transmitting the precoded signal.
