A system for providing golf information includes a database, a server and a terminal. The database stores three-dimensional map information regarding each hole of several golf courses, golf course characteristic information, game play record information, and user statistics information. The server transmits, to the database, game play record information transmitted from the terminal and user statistics information acquired by computing the game play record information, and provides the terminal with the three-dimensional map information, the golf course characteristic information, and the user statistics information, according to a request of the terminal. The terminal includes: a sensor unit which checks information on the current position and photographs a video; an input unit which inputs game play record information; a wireless network module which transmits the game play record information to the server through communication therewith, and receives, from the server, the three-dimensional map information, the golf course characteristic information, and the user statistics information stored in the database; a control/calculation unit which calculates the information on the current position including three-dimensional map information and latitude, longitude, and altitude for the current position; and a generating unit which generates personal strategy information at the current position using the information on the current position, the three-dimensional map information, the golf course characteristic information, and the user statistics information. Therefore, the system for providing golf information can accurately provide golf course information and personal strategy information. |
