PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for allowing a share-car user to reliably supply power, in a car sharing system using an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A charging device (20) for charging a share car (30) to be used for a car sharing system which uses an electric vehicle as the share car includes: user identification data transmission means (21) for reading user identification data for identifying a car sharing user; a charging cord (23) which is connected to the share car (30) when the user is authenticated with the read user identification data, to charge the share car (30) with a secondary battery; cord connection detection means (24) for detecting that the charging cord (23) has been connected to the share car (30); and connection confirmation transmission means (25) for transmitting information on the connection to the share car (30) to a charge database (14) in a vehicle management server (10) for storing data on charges for using the share car.
