PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processor and a paper sheet processing method capable of inspecting paper sheets with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A paper sheet processor includes: a memory for storing different thresholds in each direction of paper sheets; an image reading part for reading the images of the paper sheets; a damage detection part for detecting the damages of the paper sheets on the basis of the thresholds stored in the memory and the images of the paper sheets; a first threshold correction part for correcting one of the thresholds stored in the memory on the basis of the images of the paper sheets; and a second threshold correction part for correcting the other thresholds stored in the memory on the basis of the thresholds corrected by the first threshold correction part and the images of the paper sheets. |
