PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader device having a structure in which a level difference is unlikely to occur in a boundary section between part of a lower-side unit and part of an upper-side unit.SOLUTION: When a read unit 3 is displaced to a closed position, a first salient 61 fits into a first recess 66 to position the read unit 3 relatively to a body unit 2 with regard to the front-back direction and the vertical direction. The first recess 66 is integrally formed in an upper-side support member 51, and the first recess 66 is integrally formed in an exterior part 55, so that the upper-side support member 51 and the exterior part 55 are directly positioned without the intervention of any other member, with the result that positioning accuracy is increased. Therefore, the height positions of a top face 51A of the upper-side support member 51 and a top face 55A of the exterior part 55 are positioned with high accuracy, thereby making it possible to restrain a level difference from occurring in a boundary section between the upper-side support member 51 and the exterior part 55. |
