<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus having an induction heating part which allows a heating member to generate heat efficiently without enlarging the apparatus, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 5 includes: a first magnetic substance core 41; a second magnetic substance core 42; and a cut-off part 47 which cuts off a path of a magnetic flux generated by a coil 37 between the second magnetic substance core 42 and a heating belt 26. The second magnetic substance core 42 is formed in a circular arc shape having a projection 42a formed on a side facing the heating belt 26. The cut-off part 47 is arranged on a surface of an endless switching belt 46 where the magnetic flux passes, and faces a non-paper-passing area of the heating belt 26 formed by a sheet P with a small width. The switching belt 46 is stretched in a rotatable manner between a roller 45 and a projection 42a, and stops in a position where the magnetic flux is cut off by the cut-off part 47 and a position where the magnetic flux is allowed to pass between the second magnetic substance core 42 and the heating belt 26.</p> |
