PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type steam trap with a bypass valve that can quickly discharge a condensate and air.SOLUTION: A trap casing comprising a main body 1 and a cover 2 includes: an intake 4; a valve chamber 3 communicating with the intake 4; an outlet passage 8 communicating with the valve chamber 3 through a valve port 9; and an outlet 5 communicating with the outlet passage 8. A float 11 which opens and closes the valve port 9 is arranged in the valve chamber 3 in a free state, and the bypass passage 12 which links the valve chamber 3 and outlet passage 8 to each other is formed at the main body 1 and the cover 2; and a bypass valve 14 is provided which opens and closes the bypass passage 12, and an operation member 27 is connected to the bypass valve 14. When the bypass valve 14 opens the bypass passage 12, the operation member 27 drives the float 11 and when the bypass valve 14 closes the bypass passage 12, the operation member 27 does not interfere with the float 11. |
