PURPOSE: A battery safety device for an electric forklift truck is provided to prevent the operation of an electric forklift truck when an operator mistakenly turns on a key switch. CONSTITUTION: A battery safety device for an electric forklift truck comprises a logic part(20), a key switch(25), and a safety switch(30). The logic part has first to third terminals(K1-1,K1-2,K1-3), wherein the first terminal is connected through a main electric wire(W) to one of the anode and cathode electrode of a battery(35) while the second terminal is connected through the main electric wire to the other one. The logic part applies current to outside through the third terminal and one of the first and second terminals. The key switch is connected to the third terminal of the logic part through main electric wire. One terminal of the safety switch is connected to the first or second terminal of the logic part through a sub electric wire(W1) while the other terminal is connected to the key switch through the sub electric wire. The safety switch is turned on/off with a lock member which prevents the separation of the battery from a battery mounting part. |
