PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control target device capable of reducing a user's workload when installing a driver, a method for controlling the control target device, and a system.SOLUTION: A control target device 101 controllable by a driver operating in a portable terminal device 102 performs short-range radio communication in the case where the portable terminal device 102 approaches, receives terminal information for specifying the portable terminal device 102, transmits terminal information and device information specifying an own device to a server device 106 storing the driver distributably in the portable terminal device 102, and performs an instruction to distribute the driver to the portable terminal device 102. In this way, since a driver unique to the control target device 102 is easily and automatically installed in the portable terminal device only by bringing the portable terminal device 102 into contact with or close to the control target device 101, the user's workload can be reduced during installing the driver in the portable terminal device 102. |
