PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device highly accurately correcting a driving waveform in consideration of pressure loss at a time of simultaneously driving adjacent nozzle holes even if the number of driving nozzle holes increases, and capable of improving an image quality.SOLUTION: In a recording head control unit of the ink jet recording device, a total-number-of-drive-nozzle-holes detection/correction-amount calculation unit 71 detects a total number of holes from image data SD and calculates a correction amount of a jet velocity Vj of an ink droplet, a drive-nozzle-hole-density detection/correction-amount calculation unit 72 detects a hole density from the data SD and calculates the correction amount of the jet velocity Vj, a correction-rate calculation unit 73 calculates a correction rateαof a drive waveform from the calculation results, a drive-waveform-data generation unit 75 generates drive waveform dataα*WD on different drive waveforms depending on the hole density per hole on the basis of fundamental waveform data WD and the correction rateαand contributes to generating a drive waveform signal VCOM. A recording head drive unit (not shown) drives a piezoelectric element (not shown) of a recording head by increasing energy at a time of driving more holes as compared with a time of driving fewer holes depending on the signal VCOM. |
