In this light irradiation apparatus, an elongated body (20) has elastically recoverable flexibility. An LED chip (10) is secured by being adhered to the tip part (22) of the elongated body (20), and emits ultraviolet light. A coating part (12) covers the LED chip (10) to protect the chip, and also transmits the ultraviolet light emitted by the LED chip (10). A conductive part (24) extends in the length direction of the elongated body (20) and conducts a current to cause the LED chip (10) to emit light. An insulating part (26) covers the conductive part (24) to ensure electrical insulation of the conductive part (24). A bending mechanism provided in the vicinity of the tip part (22) for bending the vicinity of the tip part (22) may further be provided. Also, a control part capable of controlling the direction of bending by the bending mechanism from the end at the opposite side of the elongated body (20) from the tip part (22) may further be provided. |
