Disclosed are a metallocene catalyst composition for preparing a multimodal polyolefin resin with excellent characteristics such as moldability, mechanical strength, appearance and the like, and a polymerization method using the same. The catalyst composition comprises: (i) at least one first metallocene compound represented by chemical formula 1 of the 『Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention』; (ii) at least one second metallocene compound represented by chemical formula 2 of the 『Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention』; and a cocatalyst.
