<p>Provided is a battery wherein precise positioning is possible and battery-performance degradation due to decreases in the sealing performance of an external packaging body does not occur. Also provided is a battery pack using said battery. This battery (1) is provided with the following: a battery element (11); an external packaging body (14) that contains said battery element and is formed by arranging laminated sheets (14a, 14b) such that adhesive layers thereof face each other and bonding said adhesive layers to each other in a strip-shaped edge region (22); and a positive-electrode lead terminal (12) and negative-electrode lead terminal (13) that are exposed to the outside via said strip-shaped edge region (22). The external packaging body (14) is provided with positioning through-holes (20) with which positioning engagement members engage. The external packaging body is also provided with positioning protrusions (21) that are designed such that upon the application of stress that could damage the external packaging body (14), either at least parts of said positioning protrusions (21) separate from the external packaging body or the through-holes (20) tear and the positioning engagement members disengage therefrom.</p> |
