A decoding method for decoding a video bitstream is disclosed. The decoding method comprises: - decoding (12, 12') a picture block compliant with a first luminance workflow from a first part of the video bitstream; - transforming (14, 14') the picture block into a transformed picture block compliant with a second luminance workflow different from the first luminance workflow; and - decoding (16, 16') a picture block compliant with the second luminance workflow from the transformed picture block and from a second part of the video bitstream.
